Teaching aims:

  Knowledge aims :some important words:cheer sign notice  lonely etc.some important phrases :clean up give out cheer up help out with sth. Care for etc. and how to use infinitives as object,adverbial and object complement.how to use modal verb could for suggestions.

  Ability aims:use these words and phrases to talk with their friends and classmates

  Emotional aims:offer help to others and try your best to help those in need.give a hand to anyone who really need.

Teaching important points: the grammer points and the important phrases .

Teaching difficult points :master grammar-infinitives and learn and use the new knowledge

Teaching aids: multimedia, blackboard and textbook

Teaching methods:student-based method,task-based method

Teaching procedures:

Warm up :share a video with the class about helping others ,then ask students their ideas about helping others.then share with their groupmates about their experiences to help strangers.In this video ,we can see a boy help strangers in need and feel happy after he offer help to others.

Lead in:show a video about volunteers to students and asked what do volunteers do to help people in the video?(plant trees ,clean the road, help with children)

Presentation:1,share some ppt pictures about helping others.(help clean up city parks. Visit sick children in the hospital ,give out food at the food bank)

2,work on 1b,listen and number the ways the boy and girl could help others

3work on 1c,practice the conversation in the picture above.then make other conversations using the information in 1b.

4,a group of students are planning a city park clean-up day.ask the students work in group and share ideas with their groupmates about if you organize this project,how will you advertise it.then listen and check the things they are going to do to tell people about it.

1. work on 2b,listen again .fill in the blanks.

2. Group work;make your own project about a programmer in your school.include how to advise it and how to finish it.

   Practice: make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b.and make a role play about how to help others at the same time, using the new words and phrases.

   Production :design a school project about helping students in mountains

   Summary:new words:cheer volunteer notice alone etc.

           New phrases:clean uo ,cheer up give out make a plan

           Grammar ;the usage of infinitives and talking and listening skills

   Home work：after school,tell more people about what you can do to help others.and write a short passage about your plan to help others.
