Unit 6 is about food and lifestyle. It’s relative to students’ lives.

1. To learn more words about food and lifestyles.
2. To talk about lifestyles: what to eat and how to live.
3. To describe different lifestyles.
Teaching strategies:
1. Listening, reading, explaining and practicing.
2. Using cooperation, mutual assistance and other forms of activities to practice.

Teaching Procedures:
Step1:Warming-up activities:
1. Watch a video and try to remember the food in the video.
2. Review some words about food and work in pairs to talk about whether they are healthy or unhealthy.
3. Have a free talk: What we eat and how we live.
Step 2: Reading
1. Fast reading.
Read the text quickly and think “who has a healthy lifestyle, Kitty or Daniel?”
2. Task 1: Read about Kitty
a. Listen to the tape and answer the questions.
1. How often does Kitty dance?
2. How long does she dance every time?
b. Read Para 2 and 3, fill in the blanks about Kitty in Part B2 and check the answers with a match game.
c. Further thinking: Kitty’s lifestyle is healthy, why?
3. Task 2: Read about Daniel
a. Watch a video about Daniel and fill in the blanks about him in Part B2.
b. Further thinking: Daniel’s lifestyle is unhealthy, why?
