Lesson 4 :  What Is It?

Teaching Aims:

1、Words: eraser guess first wall

2、让学生了解并掌握一些有关学习用品介绍的词汇和句型。

Teaching Contents:

1、了解一些有关学习用品介绍的词汇。

2、学习一些用于介绍学习用品的句子；

It’s long and thin.

You can write with it./It’s big and black.

3、进一步掌握并巩固系动词be的用法。

Teaching difficult and important points:  

1、掌握一些与学习用品介绍有关的词汇：long thin write big black wall

2、激发学生兴趣，让学生学会介绍自己的学习用品。

3、掌握以下重点句子;

Is it a ruler? / You can write with it. / It’s on the the wall. What is it?/

It’s a  blackboard.

Teaching Structures:

Step1: Lead-in

Lead-in by discussing the following question;

What do you write and draw with?

Discuss in groups for three minutes. Then let some students present their answers in front of the class.

Step2:Listening

Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the dialogue.At the same time,fill in the blanks with the words you hear:

1、The pencil is ____and____.

2、The blackboard is on the ____.

 Finish the task in class orally.

Step3:Reading

Read the text and answer the following questions:

1、What can we write with?

2、What color is the blackboard?

Read the text and finish the task in class orally.

Step4:Practice

Ask the students to make a dialogue to introduce classroom objects by themselves.

Work in groups to finish the task.After a while,let some groups present their dialogues in front of the class.

When the students are preparing,the teacher can walk around the classroom to solve the problems that probably happen.

Step5:Come to”Let’s Do It!”

   Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 together.Ask the students to finish Exercise 2 in groups.

   Ask the students to finish Exercise 3 by themselves.

Step6:Homework

1.Finish Exercise 4 in ”Let’s Do It!”

2.Finish exercises in activity book.

Language Points:

1、guess：v猜测，猜想    n猜测

2、Wall：n墙   on the wall 在墙的表面上 

                    In the wall 在墙的里面

 

3、What‘s is it？

询问事物时可以用疑问词what，并且询问近处用this，远处用that，在回答时用it。

4、You can write with it。介词with可以加上表示工具的名词或代词，表示”用....”.

5、Now it’s your turn.

      It’s  one’s  turn to do something

Teaching Notes:

    本课主要涉及学生有关学习用品的介绍。授课时让学生先观察自己或朋友 的学习用品，课上让学生通过小组合作的形式交流，在此，老师向学生展示不同的学习用品，让学生进行简单介绍。
