Step 1：Lead－in

T: What do you do？

T:Do you need books？

S:Yes.

T:Where do you buy books？

S: Book shop/ Bookstore

T:Ok. Let‘s Go to the bookstore.

Step 2: New words

Learn the new words with the help of some pictures or examples: bookstore, ride, broken, off, lost ,lady, straight, traffic

Step 3 Read and answer

Ask the students to read the text by themselves and then do the exercises

1.Who are in the story？

2.Where are they going？

3. How will they get there?

4. What is Danny looking for?

5. Does the lady know the way to the bookstore?

6. What directions does the lady give? 
Collect the answers from the students.

Step 4 Text 

1. Learn the new phrases with the help of ppt.

2. Ask the students to translate the text sentence by sentence.

3. Explain the language points in the text.
