Adverbs of Frequency

2. Use the adverbs of frequency correctly and frequently.

Teaching procedures:
Step1: Lead in (5mins)
a) Teacher shows an article to students.
b) Students read it, try translating it and pay more attention to the words in red .
c) Teacher and students translate it together.
d) Teacher lists six adverbs of frequency in the article: always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom and never.
Step2 Presentation (15mins)
a) Use a diagram to explain the words.
b) Students learn to say the words with the help of pictures.
c) Pair work. Make up new conversations with the words and phrases in the box.
Example:
A: Do you often read books in the library?
B: Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
A: How often do you come to the library?
B: Three times a week.
