一、        教学难点内容分析

   本课时的教学设计来源于八上Unit5 Section B 2a-2e,主要是通过阅读短文来提高学生的综合阅读能力,在教学中旨在对学生进行阅读技巧的点拨

二、教学目标

1. 掌握以下短语:think of , come out , one of the main reasons, such as, was ready to , try ones best.

2. 阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高综合阅读能力。

3. 了解Mickey Mouse的历史.

三、学习者特征分析

学生对本课生词有了初步的认识,有一定的阅读能力,可以要求学生提前在文中找出含有生词的短语。

四、教学过程

I. Discussion  

Discuss the following questions with a partner.

Do you like to watch cartoons?

Whats your favorite cartoon?

Why do you like it?

1. Work in groups. Look at the questions in 2a.   

2. Ask one student the questions as a model.

3. Tell Ss to discuss the questions in the group.

IIKnow about Mickey Mouse

Do you like to watch cartoons? Do you know Mickey Mouse?  Today well learn a passage about Mickey Mouse.

III.Fast reading

1. Task1  Look at the picture and guess the main idea of the passage.
