Step 1 : Warmer
1. On one side of the board draw 1 ball. On another side, drew 4 balls. Point to the board and elicit the following from the students.
Examples
T : ( point to ’1 ball’) There is a ball.
Ss : There is a ball.
T : ( point to ’4 balls’) There are four balls.
Ss : There are four balls.
2. Play a game with the students. Tell the students to draw six boxes on a piece o
f paper. Tell the students to number the boxes ’1-6’.
T : Now I’m going to tell you what to draw in each box.
In box one there is a pen.
In box two there is a book.
In box three there are two trees.
In box four there are two mountains.
In box five there is a river.
In box six there are two houses.
Now I’m going to call out the number of a box and you should tell me what is it?
Example
T: Box six.
B: In box six, there are two houses.
Work in pairs.
