The aims of teaching

(1)  Make the students learn some new words and phrases by showing them

some pictures or asking them some questions.

(2) Make the students get the main ideas about four different kinds of homes

in other countries .  

The emphasis of teaching

How to make the students get the main ideas about three different kinds of

homes .  

The difficulties of teaching:

The students can read the text fluently and correctly.

The methods of teaching :

This class we can use the ways of listening ,talking ,reading to let students get the main ideas about three different kinds of homes.Then have students read the text .

The steps of teaching:  

Step 1 Revision  

1.       Show photos about their own homes or rooms and ask students :Which country is this bulding in?  Do you know the capital of this country ?

2 Review the sentence structure :I would like to …

Step 2 Presentation  

1. Use the pictures to teach the new words.

2. Complete the following sentences using the new words.

Step 3 Listening  

I. Now, let’s listen to the home of two students (Neil and Anna), then

answer some questions.

2.      Where does Neil’s dog play?  

3.      What do Anna’s family often do in their living room?  

4.      Who does Anna share a bedroom with? 

II Then, let’s listen to the home page of another foreign student (Stephen),

after you listen to it, please do some “T” or “F” exercises. Check the answers with the whole class.
