教学设计

教材简介

本单元是继上一单元有趣的户外活动之后的又一与我们生活息息相关的话题：能力。谈起个人能力，学生们有很多话要说，都认为自己能力很强，但问起具体在那一方面，学生们又不知从和说起。本单元就是针对这一现象，从李华火中救人这一故事谈起，让学生逐步掌握谈论个人能力的一些常用短语，让他们有话可说。

学情分析

刚学完unit6,学生们对自然界的一些有趣的现象已有一定的了解，并能简单说说我们身边的一些趣事。而本单元则继续讨论我们生活中的又一话题，根据农村学生顽皮但又对自己了解甚少这一特点，对本单元他们一定很感兴趣，如果自己下次说起自己的长处，一定可以学以至用，因此学习起本单元也定很容易。

教学目标

1.知识目标：①掌握几种常见的有谈论个人能力的名词。

            ②能用简单的语句谈谈自己可以为他人做的事情。

2.能力目标: ①.通过漫画引出谈论能力的话题。

②能够在语篇层面上运用自己所学知识进行相互交流。

3.情感目标:培养学生关心和帮助他人的意识。

重点、难点

1.学习重点：能够熟练掌握本节课有关助人的单词、短语和句子。

2.学习难点：谈谈自己平时助人一些情况，比如公交车上让座、打扫马路等等。

教学过程

一、课前热身

小组学习：

1、预习交流，讨论预习存在的问题。

2、小组探讨（图片展示）

（1）展示书本Ｐ81有关助人的图片，将图片和相应的助人事迹连接起来。

(2).各小组之间核对答案，并各自谈谈自己课外活动的地方，说出你平时是如何助人的，来和大家一起分享一下吧！

展示交流：

请你们各组推出一位代表来谈谈自己帮助人的事迹，说出你看到或听到的助人为乐的同学，是什么促使你要去向他们学习的呢？

二、导入新课 (abilities)

Ⅰ. Comic strip

Step One: Lead in

1. 创设真实情景导入有关能力的话题。教师说：“Different people are good at different things. People have different abilities.”将abilities板书在黑板上，然后带学生朗读。

2. 学生两人一组，询问彼此的能力。

3. 展示超人图片，问：What abilities does Superman have?

Step Two Presentation

1. 呈现第80页第一幅漫画中的Eddie的形象与学生讨论。Who is he? What do you think he can do? Do you believe him?

2. 听录音，回答问题：

（1）What does Eddie want to be?

 (2) What does Hobo say when Eddie wants to fly?

 (3) Can Eddie fly? And is he Superdog?

3. 板书look out，并帮助他们理解含义。

 Step Three Practise

1. 学生两人一组表演对话，鼓励他们添加新的内容。

2. 关于超人的其他技能，教师可以用图片给出提示。

3. 给学生三分钟时间准备，然后找几组学生上前来表演，并品出1、2、3名，给予一定的奖励。

Ⅱ. Welcome to the unit

Step One Presentation

1. 呈现Hobo和 Eddie对话的图片。If you have the big abilities, how do you help others? 鼓励学生说出答案。

2. 对学生说：We should use our abilities to help others. Would you like to help others? What can you do for others? 请学生谈谈能为别人做些什么。

3.  Daniel and his classmates are members of the Helping hands Club.展示A 部分的图片，和学生一起讨论，就图片可以提出以下问题：

（1）Where are the boy and the old man?

(2) What do they want to do?

(3) Is the boy helping the old man?

Step Two Practise

1. 学生一起朗读A部分的文字。

2. 学生独立完成文字和图片的配对练习，集体核对答案.

3. 教师补充以下句子翻译练习。

（1）他经常在公交车上给人让座。

（2）我们每年都去访问那所老年公寓。

Step Three Presentation

 1. 告诉学生：We can help people in need. We have the abilities to help them .We’re able to help them.板书able，帮助学生理解。播放B部分录音，并提出以下问题。

(1) Who’ll help them? ( They’ll help children in poor areas)

(2) What will they do for the children? (They will send some clothes and some shoes to the children)

2.如果有学生在回答过程中有困难，教师应适时帮助，呈现notebook, send , raise等生词。

3. 再次播放录音，学生跟读，然后两人一组轮流朗读对话。

三、小组互动

Ⅰ.Discussing

Image you are members of the Helping Hands Club, who are you going to help? How do you help him?

分组活动，假如你们是这种俱乐部的成员，你们将去帮助那类人？如何去帮助他们？

Ⅱ.Acting

According to your group opinion , make a dialogue with your partner.

模仿课文中所学句子，自编对话，向其他组展示本组的讨论结果。

Ⅲ.Competition

Write an article about your own opinion. About 60 words

就自己的观点写一篇60字左右的短文。

教学后记

    本课时主要学习的是有关帮助别人的东西，短语多，句子也多，但整体来说并不是太难，因为这种助人的事例学生较熟悉，理解也很快。但在谈论自己的能力上还有一定的难度，很多学生不会表达出自己的意思，在谈谈自己平时都做了哪些好事时很多细节也易出错，因此下节还需拿出10—15分钟时间继续对这一话题进行巩固操练。
