Unit 4 Where's my schoolbag? Section A (1a-1c)

一、Teaching goals:

  1. Language goal: Be able to ask and answer where things are.

  2. Knowledge goals:

Key words: where; table; bed; bookcase; sofa; chair; on; under; in.

Key phrases: on the sofa; under your bed; under the table; in your schoolbag.

Key sentences: Where’s my pencil box? It’s in your schoolbag.

 Where’s my computer game?  It’s under your bed.

 Where are my books?   They’re on the sofa.

Key grammar: Prepositions: in; on; under & Where questions

  3. Ability goals: Be able to describe where things are by using the positional prepositions correctly.

  4. Moral goal: Be able to foster a good habit of tidying you things up.

1. Grasp some key words, phrases and some sentence patterns.

2. Be able to describe where the things are by using the prepositions correctly.

  A multimedia computer, a tape recorder & the blackboard.

五、Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Revision & Lead-in:

    T: Good morning!        Ss: Good morning!

T: Nice to meet you!      Ss: Nice to meet you, too.

T: Welcome to my class. OK, first of all, please look at me. Please tell me “What’s this”? Ss: It’s a pencil box.    T: What color is it?    Ss: It’s blue.

T: What about this one? What’s this?      Ss: It’s a computer game.

T: Yes, you are so clever. The next one, what are these?    Ss: They’re keys.

T: OK, the last one, what’s this?        Ss: It’s a schoolbag.

T: How do you spell “schoolbag”?      Ss: S-C-H-O-O-L-B-A-G.

T: OK, good job. Is this your school bag?    Ss: No, it isn’t.

T: Of course not. Because the schoolbag is mine. But my schoolbag is missing. Where is my schoolbag? OK, today, we’re going to learn Unit 4 “Where’s my schoolbag”? Section A (1a-1c)

  Step 2 Presentation:

   1. New words learning; (use the multimedia computer to present the new words  with pictures.)

2. Language points learning: The usage of on/ in/ under & Where questions.

  in ……里面      on ……上面       under ……下面

  where 在哪里    where’s = where is     where’re = where are

3. Game time: Play a memory game about the new words.

  Step 3 Practice:

1. Match the phrases with the pictures.    2. Fill in the blank with on/ in/ under.                 

3. Finish1a. Match the words with the things in the pictures and check it together.

  Step 4 Pair work:

1. Practice the dialogue in1a.

2. Make your own conversations according to the pictures.

  Step 5 Listening:

   1. Listen and finish 1b. Number the things in the pictures [1-4]

2. Listen again and check the numbers at the same time.

3. Read the tapescripts together.

  Step 6 Summary:

   1. The usage of prepositions – in/ on/ under.      2. “Where questions”.

物品位置的表达,“某物在在何处”:物品 + on/ in/ under the            .        

 

教学反思:学生对方位词on/ in/ under和询问方位的句型where is...?/ Where are ...?单复数情况掌握得较好,但是回答的时候名词前容易缺少the或形容词性物主代词。其次描述某物在哪里,... is/ are on/ in/ under ... 名词前容易缺少the或形容词性物主代词。
