Step 1 Greeting. 1. Greet the Ss. 2. Divide the whole class into 4 groups. The one who answers correctly can get 1 point. Which is the best group at the end of the class? Step 2 Warming up (play a guessing game) Cover half of the pictures and let Ss guess what the people are doing. Step 3 Presentation(1a) Yesterday, there was a rainstorm. Where were they when the rainstorm came? Open the doors and let Ss answer the questions. Step 4 Listening(1b) 1. Ask the Ss to predict what the people in the pictures were doing. 2. Listen to the TV report and circle the correct responses. 3. Check the answers. Step 5 Pair work (1c) Task 1: Talk about what people were doing . A : What was he doing at 5:00pm yesterday? B : He was______________.
Task 2 : Choose one of the pictures and talk about what the people were doing at the time of rainstorm.
