It’s in the north of China.


A Teaching plan


 


Teaching aims:


     1).Listensay and read the sentences: Where did you go for your holidays? It’s in the north of China.


     2. Master some important phrases:  ride a horse. climb the Tianshan Mountain. visited the Tianchi  Lake.


     3). Let the students can use the words and sentences to make a new dialogue.


Important and difficult points:


     1). Where did you go for your holidays? It’s in the north of China.


     2).Pay attention to the pronunciation of the word “visited”.


Teaching aids: A tape recorder. a toy. some pictures and cards.


Teaching method: Situatinoalteaching method


Teaching period: 1 period.


Teaching course:


Step 1.Warmup


1).Greetings


2).Listen and do the actions.


Step 2. Lead--in


T: Look. This is a map of China. Can you tell me? Where’s Beijing?


S: It’s in the north of China.     


T: Where’s Shanghai / Hainan / Xinjiang?


 S: It’s in the south/west….of China.


T: Have you been to Xinjiang?


S: No.


T: Xinjiang is very beautiful. Let’s watch a video.


T: Do you like Xinjiang? Lingling went to Xinjiang for her holidays. She did many things in Xinjiang.What did she do? Do you want to know?


Step 3. Presentation.


1).Let’s go to Xinjiang. Seek lingling. Show a picture and ask the students: What did she do? Then learn to say the phrase: “rode a horse”.


2). T: Look . This is Tianshan. It’s beautiful and famous. What did they do?


S: They climbed the mountain.


T: Yes. They climbed the Tianshan Mountain.


3). Then read and spell the phrase “climbed the Tianshan Mountain”.


4). Use the same way to teach : “visited the Tianchi Lake”.


5). Look at the blackboard and read together.


6). Play a game : “Rapid Phrase”.


7). Look at the text and listen to the tape.


8). Listen to the tape and think about the questions:


  No.1 When did Lingling go to xinjiang?


  No.2 Where’s Xinjiang?


  No.3 What did Lingling do there?


  No.4 Did Lingling had a good time?


9). Listen and read the text.


10). Look at the picture, Listen and read the dialogue.


A: Where did you go for your holidays?


B: I went to Yinchuan.


A: Where’s Yinchuan?


B: It’s in the north of China.


11). Play another game: “Listening and passing”.


12). Let’s chant.


Step 4. Practice.


1). Enjoy some beautiful pictures.


2).Introduce my travelling story.


3).Let the students look at the map and talk about their holidays with the partners.


4). Share a tourist story.


Step 5. Summary.


1).What have you learned today?  


2).This class, we talk about the travelling. Travelling can  increase knowledge and make people excited. So let’s change a kind of life style. Close to the nature. Experience the different lives.


Step 6. Homework.


   1). Share your travel stories with your friends.


   2). Try to write down your travel story.
