The analysis of teaching materials | The topic of this unit is stories, and this lesson is the listening part of this unit—Name Stories. The teaching material is about name stories of three students. After learning the lesson, students will know how to tell their name stories in simple English and master the following listening strategy—listening for important words and main facts. At the same time, students will get to know the origin of English surnames and pay attention to the differences between Chinese and English names. | |
The analysis of students | The students are in different English levels. Most of them don’t often listen to English stories or use English to express themselves Some of them are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes, but they always want to be self-confident, respected and want to show themselves, so I will try to involve all in learning English while doing something. | |
