先行词为地点、时间、原因、方法的定语从句。

一、        先行词为地点，关系词在从句中作地点状语，由关系副词where引导定语从句。(where=at/in/on which)

This is the house where/in which I lived two years ago.

关系词在从句中作主语或宾语，用that/which引导，作宾语同样可省。

This is the house that/which I live in.

二、        二、先行词为时间，关系词在从句中作时间状语，由关系副词when引导定语从句。(when=on/in/during which)

We still remember the days when/during which we travelled together.

关系词在从句中作主语或宾语，用that/which引导，作宾语同样可省。

I’ll never forget the day that/which we spent together.

三、        先行词为reason,用关系副词why 引导定语从句。

That’s the reason why I ask you to come.

四、        先行词为way,用that/in which引导定语从句。

That was the way that/in which she worked the problem out.
