【教学内容】
1.学习snake long short zoo tall big 等单词。
2.学习句型These are„.
Teaching goals
1. The students can master that target language.
2. The students use some adjectives to describe animals.
3. They can be more interested in English learning.

   The dog is big/small.   
These snakes are short/long.    
Look at the giraffes, they are tall.

Teaching procedures
Step1 Warming-up
T/Ss together to sing the song 
HEAD AND SHOULERS 
Step2 Presentation
T: Oh, look! What’s this?
It’s a...? Ss: It’s a pig.
T: What colour is the pig?
Ss: It’s pink.
T:Look at the pink pig. It’s very ...?
Ss: It’s very big.
T: How about this dog?
T/Ss: The dog is big. 
T: And the cat is small.   Do you know “small”?
S1: Oh, I know. (Hands up to answer the question.)
T: (Teach new words)

Step3 Practice (Text learning)
Activity1
1. T:The dog ,the cat , and the elephant are together now, let’s see what happened. 
2. T/Ss watch the carton.
3. Some students put up their hands to tell what happened in the carton,
4. The students open books to read the text. 
Activity2
1. T: Oh, look!  Where is the elephant?
T/Ss: It’s in the zoo.
T: Let’s go to the zoo. Amy and Lingling go to the zoo today. Watch the carton, what animals are in the zoo?     
And let’s see what they are talking about.
2. T/Ss watch the carton.
3. Some Students put up their hands to talk about what they have seen in the carton.
4. T: (teach the new expressions of this part by using the carton.)   Ss: ( learn the new words and the sentences by lots of  practice.)   short    These snakes are short.  
long    Are they long? Yes, they are.  
tall     Look at the giraffes. They are tall.
5. The students open their books to read the text by following the tape.

教学反思:学生通过对动画和图片的观看、观察能准确地认识课文中的各种小动物,同时能准确地跟读动物的读音,个别学生发言不太准确,需要纠正;能跟读简单的对话,运用不同的动物进行语言对话交流;能让孩子勇敢的表达,乐意表达,在活动中学习,在活动中运用。
