What’s the weather like in summer?

1. 整体设计思路、指导依据说明

    英语新课程标准提倡要注重培养学生的听说读写能力的全面发展。本单元的中心话题是天气，本话题通过对话询问和描述一年四季的气候引入学习，自然过渡到气温的表达，对比中西方国家天气的差异，同时谈论大量适合各种天气的日常活动，是贴近生活的一个话题，能够极大地激发学生的学习兴趣。所以，在教学设计中，根据学生的真实生活创设情景，进行语言的操练。

2. Teaching   Background

Material analysis：

本课是是第八单元话题一的第一课时，主要活动是1a、2a和3a。学习询问和描述不同季节天气的表达以及描述不同季节适合的活动的表达方式；还将学习询问最喜欢的季节并阐述其原因的表达方式，还有听力训练，不仅训练学生听力理解能力和识辨图片的能力，而且培养学生听关键信息并速记的技能。

Students analysis：

    七年级孩子总体英语水平一般，但大多孩子们对英语学习还是有一定的积极性。部分程度较好的孩子都能积极参与课堂的每一个环节，课堂气氛比较活跃，孩子们也都能跟着老师的指令进行相应的活动。因为基础不太好导致兴趣容易缺失，所以教师在教学过程中要学会引导学生自主地学习。

1、语音：能根据发音规则拼写单词，能按意群朗读句子。

2. 词汇：能够快速辨认和正确朗读与天气及其活动相关的词汇：

weather, spring, warm, season, summer, hot, climb等；

3. 句型：

     能够询问和描述不同季节的天气以及各季节适合的活动的表达方式，如：

—What’s the weather like in spring?= —How is the weather like in spring?

—It’s warm. It’s a good time to.../ It’s a   good season for.../We can...

能够谈论最喜欢的季节并阐述其原因，如：

     Which   season do you like best, spring, summer, fall or winter?

— Why/Why do you like it? —Because...

     能够应用一般现在时询问天气并作出回答，如：

—What’s the weather like in spring?= —How is the weather in spring?

—It’s warm. It’s a good time to.../ It’s a   good season for.../We can...

能够听懂谈论季节和天气状况的对话和短文；

     能够熟练使用英语询问和描述季节及天气情况；

     能够读懂一些简单的与季节和天气相关的课外阅读材料；

能够用正确的语音、语调朗读对话；

     能够参照图片或范例写出简单的句子。

复习Section A中 four seasons的用法；

Stage 2 Presentation

Step1:Play   a game.(Quick response) Answer questions about seasons according to the   pictures.

Step2:Give   students some time to make up conversations with the pictures; Choose some   pairs to show their conversations.

通过抢答的方式，既导入本节课Section A的重点短语。Show the pictures of the   four seasons on the screen and ask some questions; Lead students to answer   the questions. (老师可以让学生根据图片猜测season的意思：季节

Stage 3 While-listening.

 Step2:   Read after the MP3, pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.

Step3:   Do1b.  

带着问题听录音，培养学生从听力中获取关键信息的能力，并注重朗读的技巧；同时也帮助学生理解1a大意。

Step2:Lead   students to summary the key points and sentences in this lesson.

Stage 5  Project

1.Do2a.   Talk about the pictures. Ask and answer in pairs:

A:Why/Why do you like it?

2.Fill in   the blanks by yourselves and check the answers.

3.Do2b. Share your dialogues with the whole class.

4.Make   a survey. and report.
