【The analysis of the teaching material】(教材分析)
My topic is taken from the book English for Vocational School (1), by Electronic Industry Press. It is a reading passage of unit 5. By studying this lesson, students can not only cultivate the sense of language, promote the accumulation of vocabulary, but also cultivate the ability to use language comprehensively. This lesson mainly talks about the computer, which is closely related to our life. In this lesson, I mainly talk about what we can do by using the computer, the advantages and disadvantages, so it is very helpful for students to make proper use of the computer.

a. Enable Ss to get the main idea of the text.
b. Get Ss to master some useful words,phrases and sentence patterns.

Play guessing game about computer to lead in:
(1) Let’s guess “ Who am I”

②can also be used for doing many things on the Internet, but I’m smaller. You can take me with you just like a notebook. (notebook computer / laptop computer)

in your hand. (ipad / tablet computer)

Step 2 Reading: A Trouble
I. Pre-reading
Learn some new words and expressions to help students understand the passage better.
Internet, business, book, the booking office, passenger, screen,
whether, flight
II. Fast – reading
Task 1: Find out the answers to the following questions.
1. Could the author buy a ticket? Why (not)?
2. What suggestion did the author give?
3. Did the girl in the booking office accept his suggestion? Why (not)?
4. So, what could all the passengers do?
III. Careful reading
Task 2: Fill in the blanks according to the text.

Task: Discussion
Voice your opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of the computer (in groups).

Step 4 :Sum-up
Every coin has two sides, so is the computer. If we use it in a proper way, it will make our life richer and more colorful. If not, it will do great harm to us. In a word, whether it is good or bad just depends on the person who uses it, not the computer itself.
Step 5 :Homework
Write a short article about how to use the computer properly.

【Teaching reflection】(教学反思)
While dealing with this lesson, I do my best to carry out the following theories: Make Ss the real masters in class while the teacher herself acts as a director; Combine the language structures with the language functions; Let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language. The problems created in the lesson help Ss to think actively and master the knowledge on their own initiative.
In a word, I think this class is very successful and effective. We get
good teaching effects. Students and the other teachers’ evaluations are very high. But, to make my English class more lively and interesting, I still have a long way to go.
