                             Unit18 Lesson1 What Is Beauty?

教材分析

 

本课是第18单元的第1课的阅读部分。本课的语篇是一篇有关“什么是美”的文章。学生将在本课获得“什么是美”的有关信息,学习一些用来描述美的词汇,理解文章大意,使用略读、细读等阅读策略。学生要将阅读信息内化,转换成自己的语言,并针对什么是真正的美发表自己的看法,懂得美是多维度的,审美标准不同,但内在美才是最重要的。

本课计划用一个课时完成:重点是阅读文章,让学生学习有关美及描述美的词汇,懂得什么是真正的美。使用略读和细读等阅读策略,从文章中提取信息,处理信息,理解文章的结构。

 

教学内容

 

话题: 什么是美?

词汇: 重点词汇:beholder, consistent, commitment, inner, physical, subjective, dimension, flock

相关词汇astonishing, attractive, beautiful, brilliant, elegant, good-looking, handsome, lovely, perfect, powerful, pretty, unbelievable, kind-hearted; patient, hard-working, confident, gentle, humorous; generous.

教学反思:本节课作为一节典型的阅读课,除了训练学生语境猜词,阅读技巧外,还要通过文本培养学生的情感态度价值观,而整节课需要改善的地方我觉得是语言输出部分,可将说写结合,将作业部分设计为写作练习。
