My First Day at Senior High

一、教材分析

This is the first module of Student’s Book 1. This part contains a passage about Li Kang’s first day at Senior High. It gives us detailed description about Li Kang’s new school, new class, his first English class and his feelings. In this period, we’re going to learn the reading passage in detail by explaining some sentence structures and language points.

二、学生分析

Entering high school just now, the students must be very curious about high school. They are enthusiastic over high school life and are willing to share their experiences and feelings with others. It’s easy for them to echo with Li Kang’s story.

三、教学目标

1) Review the words and phrases learned in the last two periods. 

2) Master some important language points.

3) Improve the students’ ability in reading

4) Learning to love the new high school life. 

5) Form positive attitude towards language learning in new surroundings.

1. ppt幻灯片的使用，在白板上放映制作好的模块ppt，可以插入学校、学生、教师等的活动照片，引起学生共鸣，吸引学生注意力。

2. 实物展台的使用，展示学生自己的写作作品，全班同学都会看到该同学的作品内容和书写，比打在文档或ppt里的文字更直观，有助于提高学生的书写。

3. 听课文录音，学生接触真正地道的英语发音。

Greeting

1.Greet the whole class as usual.

2.Review the new words in this module. Give the students Chinese meanings and let them pronounce and spell the words.

New teaching

1. Require Ss to listen to the tape carefully and then tick the 

words that appear in the text. 

2. Show the following language points on the screen and 

explain in detail.

Ppt和实物展台等信息技术能使学生很快进入一个虚拟的语言环境中，这些语言环境可以根据教学目的、内容和语言功能项目从浏览网上的资料库，选取和下载适当的图片、录像片段、文字介绍等，自由组合资料创设出理想情景，也可以使用网上恰当的课件、软件。集音、图、声为一体。

地道的语言环境让学生有身临其境的感觉，多面地刺激学生大脑。信息技术模拟仿真技术创造的各种真实情景，足以刺激学生的语言交际欲望，使他们张口讲英语，并且在不同交际情景中能够使用恰当的得体的语言进行交流；形象的语言环境能使学生对教学中出现的新语句和词汇的掌握能力提高，在交际中运用自如。
