本单元的话题是“Legends and stories(传说与故事)”,主要功能是“Tell a story”.本节课以中国神话为主线(以愚公移山为主),要求学生能够听懂用英语叙述的故事,能根据故事的相关信息发表自己的观点,模仿和运用所学语言讲述一个完整的故事。

 

学情分析

本节课的主题是家喻户晓的中国民间故事“愚公移山”。学生对本故事的英文版本,一定充满了好奇和无限的求知欲,因此在教学过程中应抓住学生的这一心理特点,鼓励学生听关键词,抓关键句。鼓励学生使用英语讲述完整的故事。

教学目标

1.知识目标:

1)掌握单词和短语:shoot,   stone, weak, god, remind, bit, silly, a little bit, instead of

2)掌握句型:a.   Once upon a time,there was…..

b.They   were so high and big that it took a long time to walk to other side.

c.As   soon as the man finished talking…..

d.Finally,   a god was so moved by Yu Gong that he sent two gods to take the mountains   away.

2.能力目标:

1)能听懂《愚公移山》这一传说的英文表达。

2)能尝试用自己的语言讲述故事,并针对故事发表自己的评论。

3.情感目标:

读神话故事,培养学生的批判性思维能力。同时教育学生在遇到困难的时候,要有愚公移山的精神。

Step1. Leading in

Play a video “Yu   Gong Moves a Mountain” to lead in the story

Step2.Presentation

1.Teach the   names of these stories: Yu Gong Moves a Mountain , Hou Yi Shoots the Suns , Journey to the West, Nu Wa Repairs the Sky

2.Work on 1a.

Have students match the titles with pictures.Then check the answers.

Step3.Listening

1.Before   listening: Learn the new words and phrases.

2.Read the   sentences in 1b,make sure the students can understand all the sentences.Then   ask them to guess which story they are about.

3.Check the   answers.

4.Listen again and fill in the blanks.

  1) Have students number the pictures before   listening.

  2 Listen and   check if they numbered the pictures correctly.

2.Work on 2b, and then check the answers.

3.Explain the difficulties.

4.Retell the story by using their own sentences.(2c)

Step6.Pole-play

1.Read the   conversation in 2d and answer the questions:

 1.)What   does Wang Ming think about the story of Yu Gong?

2.)Why does   Claudia think it is a little bit silly?

3.)Does Claudia   agree with Wang Ming?

4.)In what   other ways does Claudia think Yu Gong could do better?

2.Play the   recording,students listen and repeat.

3.Language points:   show the important phrases and sentences.

4.Students work   in groups to role-play the conversation.

教学反思

本节课从一个《愚公移山》的小视频作为导入,激发了学生的学习兴趣,从而顺势导出四个中国的民间故事。相对在进行听力训练时,学生不会感到很困难。本课采用了任务型教学法,利用Guessing,practicing in pairs, role-play等训练方式,充分利用课本图片和多媒体课件相结合,外加对听力题型的拓展,使学生对听力材料掌握得更好,对其进行故事的讲述起到了铺垫作用,从而达到提高学生听力能力和语言表达能力的目的。
