本单元以“Personal traits”为话题，谈论人物的体貌特点及性格特征。这个话题非常接近学生的生活实际，学生会非常乐于谈论身边的人或朋友，因而极有利于他们开口发言，提高他们的英语口语表达能力。通过这个单元的学习，学生要学会对人物进行比较，正确使用形容词的比较级对人物进行描述。 Section A第一部分围绕三对双胞胎的体貌特点进行比较，展开词汇(1a)，听力(1b)，会话(1c)训练。1a学习关键词汇，1b练习听目标语言，1c为简单口语训练，巩固目标语言。第二部分围绕记者对其中一对双胞胎Tina和Tara的采访，继续进行听力(2a-2b)训练和会话(2c)训练，提高听与说的技能，并系统掌握形容词的比较级； | ||||

在复习和讲授环节，学生对图片非常感兴趣愿意说。到了每个人的表演说句子的环节，开始比较沉默。因为这节课就是关于人物的比较，那么在讲授环节除了把课件上的有趣图片做比较，还可以结合班上的同学的实际情况拿出来作比较，在开始要以多种形式进行鼓励，积极发现学生的性格的闪光点，让他们有勇气参与进来。 在听力部分因语速过快，可以适当结合学生水平，想办法降低听力难度，例如出选择题型。 | ||||
