教学内容

本课时的内容是新PEP小学英语第四册的第四单元B部分Let’s learn和Draw and say部分。本单元的教学内容围绕“农场”这一话题，通过询问他人有关农场上动物的描述，引出一些与此有关的动物的词汇和句型。本课时是这部分的第二课时，主要是词汇教学，要求学生能听懂认读Let’s learn的4个新单词及其复数形式，能用所给句型在实际情景中描述某物。

设计理念：

运用情景法、演示法、听说法、讲解法、小组合作等教学手段，以语言功能为主线，由单词到句型，由易而难，循序渐进，突出语言的交际性，引导学生积极运用英语进行交流，让学生在听、说、读、写的各项活动中习得语言，提高学生的综合语言运用能力。

教学目标与要求

3. 情感态度：热爱动物，尊重生态规律。

教学重点

本课时需要重点掌握农场上常见的牲畜的名称及其复数的变化。并能用They’re ________.描述动物的特征。

教学难点 sheep复数的不规则变化，horses的发音。

一、Preparation准备活动

1. 师生进行口语交际，由讨论天气过渡到本单元口语话题。

T:  What’s the weather like today?  Is it warm? 2

  Ss: Yes, it is.

纪所T：What a lovely day!  Let’s go to the farm.

播放农场的视频，吸引学生注意

2.  Let’s sing.

二、Review

T：I love animals very much. Do you love animals？What animals do you know?

Let’s play a game.播放动物录音，让学生猜动物。复习前面的单词。

三、Presentation

 New words:  教师根据学生已说出来的动物单词引出本节课的新词汇。

1. hen

T: Who is coming? Listen to the sound of the animals and guess what they are.

听声音猜测动物，播放课件，点击时先出现动物的叫声，然后问：What is this? 学生回答:母鸡。带读：hen.

T: How many hens can you see? 引导学生回答：hens.

T: What are these? They are hens.

T:击掌读单词，四面开花Let’s chant: Hen, hen, it’s a hen. Hens, hens, they are hens.

2. horse

T: Listen to the sound of the animals and guess what they are. 听声音猜测动物：马。带读：horse.强调or /ɔ:r/ 的发音，并与house区分开来。

T: What are these? They are horses.出示马的图片。

T: Let’s chant: Horse, horse, it’s a horse. Horses, horses, they are horses.

3. cow

T: 猜谜语：Hello！Boys and gils.

Do you know me?

I’m black and white.

I can make milk.

Do you like milk？

Can you guess?

Ss: It’s a cow.

强调ow在cow中发[au].大小声操练cow.

T: What are these? They are cows.

T:击掌读单词，四面开花: Cow, cow, it’s a cow. Cows, cows, they are cows.

4. sheep

T: Listen to the sound of the animals and guess what they are. 听声音猜测绵羊。

Ss: It’s a sheep.带读：sheep.强调ee在sheep中发[ i：].高低音操练单词。

出示图片，一起数绵羊。A sheep, two sheep, three sheep, …,many many sheep.

T: 注意观察sheep这个单词的复数形式与其他单词有何不同？

S: sheep这个单词的复数形式与单数相同，没有发生变化。

T: 出示图片What are these? They are sheep. Wow! They're so cute.

T: Let’s chant: Sheep, sheep, it’s a sheep. Sheep, sheep, they are sheep.

5. goat

T: 出示山羊的图片，让学生看。Are these sheep?

S: No, they aren't.

T: They are goats. 出示山羊的图片教学goat. 小组操练。

6. 小结单词的单复数形式的变化规律：

7.播放Let’s learn的录音，学生跟读，教师注意正音。

四：Consolidation and extension

1.  Look and say.

T:  Look，it is a farm. There are so many animals. Please tell me what you can see? 2学生回答，教师注意指点复数的发音.

Group work：学生二人一组上台看到屏幕上的农场里动物，一个问：What are these? 另一个人答They are ＿＿.

2. Play a game.

  教师播放课件图片，让学生猜这些是什么动物。用Are they＿＿？直到猜出为止。

T: Are they horses?   Ss: No, they aren’t.

T: Are they hens?     Ss: Yes, they are.

让学生当小老师，用Are they＿＿？直到猜出为止。

3. Draw and say.

 请学生说说他们想象中的农场里都有些什么。这个步骤既复习了本单元的单词，又帮助学生进行绘画前的构思。然后让学生描绘自己的农场并向同桌介绍自己的农场。

4、保护动物

   Animals are our friends, so please protect them.

五、Homework.

   Draw a picture of your farm and introduce it to your friends.
