Unit 1 C. Story time
课时目标
1. 能读懂“Story time”部分的故事。
2. 能够运用“What’s …like?”进行问答,并巩固所学知识。
教学重点:
1. 能听懂,读懂“Story time”。
2. 能够运用“What’s …like?”进行问答,并巩固所学知识。
教学难点
1. 能理解一些新句型,如:He must be … Let me show you.
2. 培养学生对复习课的兴趣。
教学准备
1. 教师准备多媒体课件、录音机和录音带。
2. 教师准备各科教材和各科老师的照片。
3. 学生准备画笔和画纸。
教学过程
一、课前热身(Warm-up)
1. Free talk
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning, teacher.
T: Nice to see you.
Ss: Nice to see you, too.
T: How are you today, S1?
S1: I’m fine, thank you.
T: How are you today, S2?
S2: Very well, thanks.
2. 教师准备两三张本班任课老师的照片,利用本单元学习的句型于学生进行对话,如:
T: Who’s the woman in the picture?
Ss: She’s our science teacher.
T: What’s she like?
Ss: She’s funny.
二、课前预习(Preview)
教师准备一些描述人物性格的词卡,然后随机抽取卡片,问:“Who’s strict / polite / shy / … in our class?”,学生根据实际情况回答。
三、新课呈现(Presentation)
C. Story time
(1) 教师提问:“What’s your PE teacher like?”,学生根据实际情况回答。
(2) 介绍故事背景。
T: Zoom and Zip will have a new PE teacher. What will the new PE teacher be like? Will he / she be short or strong? Let’s listen to the tape and see.
(3) 第一次播放教学录音,全班学生跟着录音读,提醒学生在跟读的过程中注意模仿录音中的语音、语调。
(4) 第二次播放教学录音,学生听完录音后回答下面的问题:
① What does Zip know about the new PE teacher?
② What does the rabbit look like?
③ Who’s the new PE teacher?
Answer:
① He only knows he’s a good football player.
② He’s very thin and too short.
③ The rabbit.
(5) 学生在小组内练习分角色表演故事,然后教师请两三组学生上讲台表演,提醒学生表演时要带上适当的表情和动作,教师评选出“最佳表演组”,并给予表扬。
(6) 学生讨论从这个故事中得到的启示,教师总结。
2. 课堂练习——阅读对话,判断句子正(T)误(F):
Zip: Hi, Bird! Who’s your English teacher?
Bird: Miss White. She’s very young. She’s 18 years old.
Zip: Where is she from?
Bird: She’s from America.
Zip: What’s she like?
Bird: She’s short and thin, and she’s very funny.
Zip: Oh! She’s my English teacher, too.
