Section B1a-1e教学设计


一、材内容分析

本课时提供学生要学习的内容是人教版八年级上册Unit6 I’m going to study computer science. Section B (1a-1e),本单元的第三个课时。Section B围绕“新年计划(New Year’s resolutions)”话题展开,语言输入量多。它是学生对Section A 中所学知识的巩固拓展与提升运用。1a-1b通过图文匹配和对话练习帮助学生复习谈论自己将来的打算。1a中出现的短语是Section A 中未出现过的,它们为后面1c-1d的听力材料的呈现提供了词汇储备。1c-1d“谈论新年计划”为话题展开听力练习,自然贴切地运用了1a中刚学的词组,能让学生进一步体会目标语言在真实语境中的运用。1e是一个两人问答活动,学生可以自行组织对话,灵活度较大。但学生谈论的焦点必须是将来理想的职业和实现理想所采取的措施。这个活动也可以用来培养学生从听力材料中提取单元目标语言或重要信息的能力。学习进度稍慢的学生可以让他们借助1a中的内容自编对话操练。

二、学生情况分析

学生对一般将来时的用法有一定的了解。本节课句型中所涉及的词汇较容易表达。因此,在这一课,要创设情境,帮助学生理解并巩固运用本节课的句型,我将对这些词汇句型进行教学。

三、教学目标

(1)知识目标

1.Ss are able to read and use these words:

    New Year’s resolution, make the soccer team, foreign language, ....

2.Ss are able to use these sentences:

    ①What are you going to do next year?--I’m going to...

    ②How are you going to do that?--I’m going to...

    ③Sounds interesting/ like a good plan.

(2)技能目标

1.Ss learn to talk about their New Years resolutions.

2.Ss practice listening in class.

(3)情感态度价值观目标

Ss learn the importance to make a plan at the beginning of the year. Work hard to make their dreams come true.

四、教学重难点

 (1)教学重点

1.Ss ask and answer about their New Years resolutions.

  2.Ss finish the listening in 1c and 1d.

(2)教学重点

   Ss make a survey and report about the resolutions in their group.

教学方法和学习方法

(1)教学方法:

听、说交流教学法以及任务型教学法。主要有听力练习、双人活动编对话。

(2) 学习方法:

学生们通过听、说、双人活动,分组活动合作学习本课的新单词和目标语言。

教学步骤

Step1. Warming-up 

Enjoy an English song“Be What You Wanna Be”

(设计意图:通过听歌曲热身激发学生学习兴趣,提问有哪些职业名词。)
Step2. Review

Who has sharp eyes ?Say the words about the jobs.

(设计意图:通过比眼力,复习已学过的表职业的单词,这是本节课最基础的内容,为他们的语言输出作好准备。)

Step3. Presentation

1.T: The New Year is coming.  What are you going to do next year?  How are you going to do that?

2.Ss talk about their plan in the new year with the key sentences and key phrases.

(设计意图:通过教学和练习目标语言,为接下来学生的听力作准备,以便他们能听懂对话并完成任务。)

Step4. Play a game

(设计意图:合适的竞赛能唤起学生学习英语的兴趣,并能鼓励他们记住短语。)

Step5. Work on 1a

1.Go through the pictures in 1a on the screen with the Ss.

2.Then ask them to match the pictures with the correct resolution in 1a.

3.Ask and answer.

(设计意图:通过图片配对和问与答进一步巩固单词短语与句型;在真实的语境下,进行不同人称的替换,突破本课难点)

Step6. Work on 1b

1.Have Ss get into pairs and discuss what they are going to do next year with their partners.

2.Then, have some pairs come to the front and present their discussion to the class.

What are you going to do next year?

---Well, I’m going to take guitar lessons. I really love music.

Sounds interesting. I’m going to learn another foreign language.

---Are you? Great! But foreign languages are not for me.

(设计意图:小组活动能培养学生的合作学习技能。)

Step7. Listening

(1)Listen to 1c

T: Lucy, Kim and Mike are talking about their resolution next year. What are they going to do next year?

1.Ss listen to 1c and circle.

2.Check the answers.

(设计意图:先对听力的任务进行阅读,以便让学生更好地把握听力内容,并能抓住重点,更好地实践听力技能。)

(2)Listen to 1d

T: How are they going to make the resolutions come true?

1.Ss listen to 1d and fill in the blank.

2.Check the answers.

3.Ss read after the tape.

Ss talk about the resolutions of these 3 persons.

(设计意图:对本节课所学的词汇和目标语言从听力上进行巩固,达到听力练目的。)

Step8. Group work  

1.Work in groups. Make a list of resolutions and how you are going to make them work. Then discuss with your group.  

2.Ask some pairs to act out the conversations.

(设计意图:通过双人活动,让学生练习使用目标语言来表达自己未来想要的职业以及自己的打算;主要训练学生“说”的能力。)

Step9. Summary

Sum up the new words and the target languages in this period.

(设计意图:通过总结本课要点,让学生对本节课的知识有一个系统的认识。)

Step10. Do some exercises and homework

(设计意图:通过练习,加深学生对所学知识的巩固拓展与提升运用。)
