通过理论学习和教学实践,在日常教学中有许多失败的案例,也有小小的收获,现总结出以下几条较可行的教学习惯:
一、多表扬,少批评学生。好学生都是夸出来的,尤其是我目前所教班级,英语基础较薄弱,且学习热情不高,如果一味纠错,且批评基础差不爱学又上课违纪的学生,明显会挫伤学生的积极性,使其更不愿意改变现状,不仅畏惧英语,甚至厌恶英语,又何谈学好它呢?英语并非母语,作为英语老师,要学会多鼓励,多赞美,努力发现学生的闪光点,让他们认识到自己的价值,从而鼓起勇气不畏艰难,攻破英语难关。同学们每进步一点,都要及时鼓励,同学们会做得越来越好。
二、重视英语运用,而非枯燥的单词记忆和晦涩的语法背诵。众所周知,高中语法繁杂而深奥,若一味支离破碎地讲解并要求背诵,学生会丧失信心兴趣,结果还事倍功半,因此需要改变,语法宜融入语篇中,这样可以让同学们在具体语境中去感知,自己揣摩领会,并且印象深刻,比孤零零地灌输效果更好。至于词汇,最近接触了一个极光单词软件,它非常强调场景记忆,似乎同学们也更加有热情,记忆也更牢固,或许这是不错的词汇教学方法。另外,要格外重视英语的实际运用,重视学科素养,让同学们会用即可,不求写出所谓高大上的句式。
三、分配任务要合乎学情。学生基础差,就不要盲目攀比,求多求泛,暂时只求基础,等学生会走稳了再试着让他们跑起来,不要太过苛求,否则只会摔跟头,欲速则不达,物极必反。所以,平时要多深入学生之中,了解同学们的心理等实际情况,定量布置学习任务。

Step 1 Warming-upFree chat: ask them to talk about new energy for two minutes and then share together.(Small-hydro, wind, modern biomass, geothermal, ocean and so on.)

Step 2Pre-readingAsk students one question: Which kind of new energy is the most convenient for us to use?

Step 3While-readingGlobal readingRead the passage quickly in two minutes and find the main idea.Detailed readingGive students 5 minutes to read this article quickly and answer two questions.Q1: How much the terrestrial equator perimeter is?Q2: How much energy could the earth obtain?Use ‘moreover’ and ‘equal to’ to make two new sentences.Read this passage again in 3 minutes and find the problem of solar energy using.

Step 4Post-reading1. Listen to the tape and read this article loudly in 5 minutes.2. Ask students to discuss two questions (5 minutes).Q1: Why we need to find new type of energy?Q2: How to save different energy in our daily life?Teacher should give them a guidance and summary of the new energy using and the limited resources in the earth.

Step 5Summary and homeworkAsk two students to summarize this lesson, and ask them to write a small article about environmental protection, they should also search the answer of “How do people apply new energy in nowadays’ society?” on the internet.

Do a survey: ask students to fill the questionnaire (with different daily activities and time point, students just need to mark the activities in their time) and invite some students to share.

Step 2 Pre-listening

Show some pictures about Lin Fei’s day and ask students “what does Lin Fei do in a day?

Step 3 While-listening

Play the tape recorder and ask students some question.Q: What is the distance between his school and home?Play the tape recorder another time and give students some other questions to practice their listening again.Q1: When should Lin Fei go to school?Q2: How long will it take Lin Fei to ride to the bus station?Listen to the tape for the third time and then students should describe Lin Fei’s daily life in their own words. They will have 3 mines to prepare it.

Step 4 Post-listening

Ask students to look their questionnaires which they filled at the beginning of the class and give them 5 min to make a short story of their daily life, later some students will share the stories in front of the class.Teacher should give them a guidance of health life style.

Step 5 Summary and homework

Summarize this lesson with students, and then ask them to design a new schedule of their daily life after the class, they will share during next lesson, they also need to read the new passage two times to consolidate the new knowledge.

教后记Reflection after teaching :

This class is about writing. Themain content of writing is micro-blog. Based on the actual situation of students: some students are afraid of writing, while some students feel that there is no words to write, and even some of the students lack of vocabulary. Therefore, before writing, let the students participate in the group discussion to complete the composition outline and the main points with the parters, so as to further complete the writing task of the writing. This will reduce the difficulty of writing , and also cultivate the spirit of cooperation with their classmates.

The inadequacy of this lesson is that in the discussion, some students do not communicate in English, but speak in their native language and then translate them in English. To remind students that composition is not a word for sentence translation.
