人教版英语七年级上册Unit5 Do you have a soccer ball? 第一课时

教学目标：

1.掌握本课生词，学习谈论物品的位置Do you have...?Yes，I do.

2.让学生学会如何听和谈论运动。

3.培养学生良好的合作意识，鼓励学生大胆表达自己的想法和意愿。通过谈论运动，培养学生养成良好的生活习惯。

教材分析：

Period 1是Unit5的第一课，让学生提通过活动，学习如何表达喜欢的运动

学生分析：

七年级学生活泼好动，在教学中，充分利用多媒体，图片、实物等，使英语学习与学生的实际生活更贴近，激发学生学习兴趣，同时创设交际情境，让每个学生在课堂上动起来，积极参与到教学活动中去，更好的实现教学目标，达到理想的教学效果。

教学过程：

Step1. Lead in

Show some pictures about balls on the big screen. And tell about some sports with students. 

Step2. Show the learning tasks

1. Learn some words and sentences about this passage.

2.Through learning passage and train students’ reading and writing skills.

Step3.  Presentation-Independent study

1.Presentation

(1). Show some picture on the big screen. Teach Ss some main words and expressions in the passage in 2b. e.g. soccer，basketball，tennis，volleyball(2). Ss read and understand the new words and expressions.

2.  Reading

(1) Fast reading  

T: Now, read the passage quickly and find the answer to this question:

  Who has a soccer ball？  (Gina Smith.)

Ss read the passage quickly and try to find the answer to this question.

Check the answers.

Step4 .Presentation

Careful reading

  T: Now read the passage again and find the answers to these questions (on the big screen):

   ① Who thinks soccer is difficult?

   ② Who are in the same school?

   ③ How many footballs does Gina Smith have?

     Ss read the questions first. Then read the passage again and find the answers to the questions.

  Check the answers with the class.

根据学生掌握的实际情况可以适当安排如下的对话进行操练.
T: Hi, Jim. Do you have a basketball?
S: No, I don’t.
T: Oh, I have a ping-pong ball. Let’s play ping-pong.
S: That sounds boring.
T: Then, what about…?
S: That sounds… . OK. Let’s go.
Make up similar dialogue by Ss.

Step6.Summary and homework

1）Write a dialogue as above.
2）.Do exercises in exercise books.
