程 | 1 Warm-up (1) Song:《Be what u want u wanna be》 (2) Free talk: -What do you want to be? -I want to be … 2 Presentation (1) Write Jobs on the board and elicit jobs students remember. Students speak out the jobs they remember. (2) Use the pictures to further set the context and to present the vocabulary. (3) Play the recording. Students listen to each word and repeat in chorus. (4) Show the meanings of the new words. 3 Practice (1) Game1: Can you guess? a. Divide the class into a Boy’s Group and Girl’ Group b. A boy is chosen to draw one of the cards and he tries to describe the job in one or two sentences. c. The girls guess what the word is and rea it out. d. Both of the groups can get a score if they can finish the task well. If a student fails to describe the occupation, his rival will get a point. e. Boy and girls go to draw the cards by turn. The group that gets a higher score is the winner. (2) Game2: Looking for a word a. Teacher writes the letters of some of the learned words on the board. The letters are not in normal order. b. Divide the students into several groups. Each group stands in a line. c. The first student in each group writes the word he forms on the board, and then runs to the end of the line. Everyone in the group tries to find out one word from the given letters by turns. If a student cannot find out a word, he should draw a circle instead, which means one student failed to do it. 4 End of the class Students write the nine new vocabulary items in their vocabulary books. For each item, they draw a picture and write a short definition, e.g. An artist paints or draws picture. | ||||

思 | I need to give students more opportunity to speak and participate in activities, especially for their questions and doubts. As an English teacher, one hand I should teach the language knowledge to the students and make them master the skills. On the other hand, we should also pay more attention to cultivate and maintain the students’ interest in.
