This topic is the first period of Unit 1 in Book 1, including Lead-in & Listening and Speaking. The topic is about how to take order. This topic is an important lesson which is related to daily life. So it is helpful to raise learning interest of students and it will be also useful to improve their vocational skills. It can help students attain “four skills” of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.

My classmates are from Class 241 of Grade one. They major in Hotel Service and Management. They are familiar with this topic because they have learned related subjects, from which they have learned some professional knowledge and skills. However, they are weak in English. They are not only short of Hotel spoken English, but they can’t practice the order service in English in real service scene. So some of them are not confident in themselves. By this lesson, they can get improved. It’s fresh and interesting for them to learn this part, which can arouse their interest.

 1. Divide the class into eleven groups and practice how to take order when the foreign guests reach your restaurant ? I will give you 6 minutes to talk with your partners, and then four groups will show for us.

4.本节课,我运用了关于点餐的英文视频引入课堂和帮助学生进行对照反思,但是由于不是最真实的工作情景的展示,因此对教学内容的直观性和形象性会有所影响,这是我感到比较遗憾的地方。
