Ⅰ. 教材分析
本课通过对大熊猫、蓝鲸、华南虎等珍稀动物的介绍,引导学生学会爱护环境、保护动物。本着《英语课程标准》倡导的任务型教学模式和学生的感知、参与、合作等学习方式, 对整个话题进行总结性复习。
学情分析:
本课以旧带新呈现出其他动物名称,所以学生在动物词汇上会感兴趣,难度不大。但形容词比较等级学生在理论上明白形容词比较级和最高级的用法以及变化规则,但是在实际应用的时候还存在困难。
学法指导:
针对学生实际,课前让学生预习课本,参考课文后的语法,培养学生的自主学习能力。课上通过观察、对比、分析,用问题引导、小组合作的方法培养学生自主、合作探究的学习方式,使学生的元认知能力得到提升,帮助学生学习新词汇,掌握重点句型,让学生在“做中学,学中做”。课中启发学生运用比较的方法归纳所学内容,学会总结与反思。

Step1. Introduction

2.Review the words about animals by having a competition.
3. Show some pictures and do some exercises , then review the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives
Step2. Presentation
Show a Chinese map to know about some wild animals.
Picture1:
T: There are some wild animals in this map. Can you tell me their names?
Ss: Yes, they are pandas, tigers and …
T: Good , they are pandas, blue whales and Chinese tigers.
Ss: Which animal lives only in China?
T: Pandas.
T: What do pandas feed on?
Ss: They feed on bamboo.
T: Pandas are becoming fewer and fewer in number because they have less and less land to live on.

S: Blue whales.

S: Small animals.

Step3.Consolidation
Have a competition. Listen to the Part1 and write down the key words, then complete the table on Page 88.
