一、教学内容分析

本单元从学生的日常生活出发，围绕Our   Local Area主题展开，引导学生学会介绍自己的居家不止及居住环境，同时还涉及了邻里关系和社区服务状况，让学生学会与他人和谐相处，共创美好的生活氛围。  

Topic1   Section A主要介绍屋内房间的类型、位置、家用物品的名称、摆放位置等，并引出了there   be句型表达各房间及屋内基本摆设。作为话题的第一课，本课是基本语言结构和词汇知识的输入过程，其作用是引出话题，整体呈现新内容，让学生在实践中愉快地接受知识，并为后面反复操练特定的功能项目提供了语言环境。  

二、教学目标

1、语言知识：词汇与词组；能够在情景对话中用there be句型描述屋内房间及基本摆设等。

2、语言技能：能听懂谈论房间、室内摆设的表达，并做出恰当回应；能在教师的引导下参与简单的角色扮演；能正确地朗读对话。

3、情感态度：能在学习的同时，热爱自己的生活环境。

三、学习者特征分析

本课教学内容相对较少，另外即将学到的新语法点——there   be 句型也不是很难，关键是掌握“be”动词的用法，而先前已经教授过“be”动词的用法，所以，本节课自己可以预测自己将讲得很轻松，同时学生也将学得很轻松。唯一的问题是文中出现了大量表示地点名称的生词，同学们可能一时消化不了，课上将采用多种方式来帮助同学消化吸收。

五、教学重点、难点

1、教学重点：本课的词汇和重点句型

（1）能够掌握不同房间的名称及其他单词和短语，如bedroom,   bathroom, kitchen, garden, living room, dining room, first, second,   beautiful, upstairs, and so on；

（2）能够正确使用方位介词(短语)，如in, on, next to等

（3）能够就“存在、建议”等交际功能的基本法进行交流与对话操练，如：

 ①There is a   study next to my bedroom.

 ②There is a sofa, a desk, some books and so on.

③There is/are … on the first/second floor.

④—Why not go upstairs and have a look?

 —Let’s go.
