Lesson 1 : Welcome to My Home

 

Teaching content Let s learn.

Teaching objectives:

1. Grasp the new  words: TV, bed, desk, clock, chair

2. Handle the sentences: Is there a ... ?

                    Yes, there is. / No, there isn t.

3. Allow students to deepen the understanding of the concept of home and love .

Teaching points:  the pronunciation of the words and use of sentences.

Teaching Difficult:Use the general question of "there be"  to introduce  room  and the spelling of some words.

Teaching process:

Step1: greetings

T:Hello, boys and girls!

Ps:Hello, Miss Gan!

T:How are you today?

Ps:Fine.  / Good. / Bad.

Step2: warm-up

T:Oh, Im sorry to hear that. Since some of you are a little bit tired, let s sing a song to cheer you up - One Little Finger.

 One Little Finger

T:Put it on TV. Oh, TV! 

Step3: Lead-in

T:Its a TV. (we have learnt it before.)

T:What s this? (picture) Chinese is OK.

Ps:Bed!

T:Yes, its a bed.Lets read it together.

Then presentation the new words by different ways.

(desk, clock, chair)

Step4 Practice

T:Lets play games to read the new words.

(boys and girls, pictures, letter game)

Step5 Sentences

Use the PPT to show a TV.

T:There is a TV now, right?

Ps:Yes!

T:Look! Is there a TV? Yes or no?

Ps:Yes!

T:Yes, there is!

Together:Yes, there is.

Then next PPT.

T:Look! Is there a TV? Yes or no?

Ps:No!

T:No, there isnt!

Together:No, there isnt.

Then, practice sentences with some interesting games.

(number game, teacher says)

Step6 Pair work

Two in a pair to draw pictures and practice the sentences.

Step7 Summary

Read the new words and sentences together to sum up.

Step8 Homework

1.Remember the new words.

2. Welcome your friend to your home, and talk about your bedroom.
