Lesson3 Merry Christmas!
STEP1 LEAD-IN
Sing a song together《Jingle Bells》
Ask Ss what does the song about? Ss:Christmas.
T:Yes,it’s Christmas,today I will tell you something about Christmas.
STEP2 PRESENTATION
Draw a big tree on the blackboard
T:what’s this?  Ss:It’s a tree.
T:it’s a Christmas tree,is it pretty?
Ss:Yes,it is.
T:But I think it’s not pretty enough.I want to make it more pretty.Can you help me?
Ss:Yes,I can.
Show a picture of bell.
T:What’s this?    Ss:It’s a bell.
Show a picture of present.
T:What’s this?    Ss:It’s a present.
T:Great,today I will divide all of you into two groups,you are Bell Group,you are Present Group,I’ll put these stickers(bells and presents)in the Christmas tree,which sticker is the most,who is the winner,let’s begin.
Show a picture of coloured lights
T:What are these? Ss:They are coloured lights.
Show a picture of Father Christmas
T: Who’s this?     Ss:It’s Father Christmas.
Show a picture of parents
T:Who are they?    Ss:They are parents.
Play games:1.bomb game.

STEP3  PRACTICE
Pair work: Ask Ss use these words and sentences to make conversation and practice it in pairs.Then ask some pairs to show their conversations.
Step4 Consolidation
T:look,it is my Christmas tree,it is very beautiful,this is a bell,this is present and these are coloured lights.I like it very much.Can you draw a Christmas tree.I will give you 5mins to do it,after that.I will ask some of you to show yours.
STEP5 SUMMARY
Let me see who is the winner today.
So much for this class.Everyone did well today,what have we learned today?Who can do a summary for us?
STEP 6 HOMEWORK
After class,remember to review the new knowledge we have learned today and you can share them with your parents.Understand?Class is over.See you next time.
