一、教学内容分析

本课是unit2 the olympic games 的阅读课,中心话题是the olympic games.阅读内容是一篇对话题记叙文,通过古希腊作家pausanias到现代社会采访一位中国奥运志愿者的方式,介绍奥运会的相关知识。如:奥运会的起源,发展,主题和一些竞赛项目,让学生了解到古代和现代奥运会的异同。通过对该文的学习,我们不仅要学习课本上有关奥运会的知识,同时也深入了解奥运文化及其精神实质。

二、学生情况分析

教学对象是高一年级的学生,大部分学生已初步掌握了阅读文章的方法——捕捉关键词,概括主题,总结归纳整理,也具有一定的分析概括能力,自主,自立,自学的意识逐渐增强。他们的英语基础知识和基本技能参差不齐,有待提高,因此,调动学生的学习积极性,并引导学生进行扎实有效的学习是课堂教学的关键。

三、教学目的分析

  1. 知识目标:学习并巩固与课文有关的词汇,短语及重点句型。
  2. 能力目标:通过课堂教学活动使学生形成良好的语言习惯,进一步学习使用恰当的阅读     方法和技能,让学生在一定程度上形成自主学习,合作学习,信息处理能力,英语思维能力以及综合运用语言的能力。
  3. 让学生通过阅读课文,自我思考和实践。帮助学生理解奥运精神,更加关注奥运会。                  

四、教学重点难点分析

教学重点:学习更多关于奥运会的知识,对比古代和现代奥运会。

教学难点:通过文中出现的一些问题,了解古今奥运会的异同。

五、教学过程设计

step1.lead-in

greet the class. and then show some pictures and a song “you and me” about beijing 2008 olympic games.

step2.warming-up

ask some related questions:

  1. where were the first olympic games held?
  2. are there any similarities between the ancient and the modern olympics?
  3. do you want to know more about modern olympics?

turn to page9.pausanias, who was an ancient greek writer, has come on a magic journey to the present day; he wants to know more about modern olympics.

(设计目的:鼓励学生用已掌握的知识尽可能地谈论相关内容,培养学生通过话题表达自己的情感,自然引出下一个教学环节。)

(设计目的:快速阅读是英语阅读的一个重要环节,通过快速阅读全文,了解中心思想。在阅读教学中,应训练学生良好的速读方法,不认识的字句跳过去,但求抓住全文大意。)

(设计目的:由于课文内容较散,重点难把握,通过在文中找出这6个问题,引导学生划分段落,概括大意。)

(设计目的:作业的布置是课堂内容的延伸和提高,是对学生综合素质的培养,让学生学以致用,为今后的写作打下基础。口语和书面作业都以课文内容为载体,让学生更深刻地理解课文内涵,并有效提高他们听说读写综合能力。)

六、反思

  1. 在新课程改革前提下,我认为,reading教学应处理好以下关系:
  1. the relation between teacher’s teaching and students` learning.

we should teach the students more about the methods of learning, not only about the knowledge of the language itself.

  1. the relation between students` interest and students` learning.

we should think more about the students` interest and happiness while teaching. we should try our best to let the students study english happily.

2.要做好以上两点,关键在于:

a. 设计内容能调动学生积极性,例如,学生喜欢竞争,多以竞赛形似贯穿教学活动。

b.   让学生在课余时间能够做好一点准备。

c.    让学生养成互助和合作的习惯。

总之,在新课程教学过程中,教师的教学需要艺术性,需要机智,能随机应变,更需要创新,基于教材,勇于拓展,才能有所突破,有所建树。
