一、教学理念:培养学生自主、合作、探究精神;培养学生的语言运用能力。 
二、教学目标:
(1)掌握be going to do的一般将来时。
(2)掌握并能灵活运用本单元出现的重点词汇。
(3)培养学生良好的“听、说、读、写”的技能,鼓励学生大胆根据自己的语言基础能力,谈自己与他人未来想从事的职业及原因、为实现理想所做的打算和安排。
(4)激发提高学生的学习兴趣,积极主动参与教学各环节,成为学习的主人。
三、分析教材
1、教学重点:
(1)重点语法:一般将来时be going to do结构
(2)重点句型:What are you going to be when you grow up?
I’m going to be an engineer. 
How are you going to do that?
(3)重点词语:programmer grow up computer computer science take acting lessons engineer pilot professional 
2、教学难点:
(1)一般将来时。(2)谈论自己与他人未来想从事的职业及原因。
四、教学过程
1、课前准备:
(1)制作多媒体课件为学生创设更多的语言环境,激发学生主动参与的欲望。
(2)准备游戏和安排小组讨论,使学生在轻松愉快的环境中实现更多的信息交流,让学生在做中学,在做中练,在做中巩固。
2、教学过程
Step1 Warming-up
(1)Get the students to play a game about jobs. Four students a group. Get them to make a list of jobs in groups. Give them one minute. The group which can list the most jobs will be the winner.
(2)Use their lists to find what their faverite jobs are. They can use the sentence“I want to be a……”
设计说明:通过第一个游戏使得学生们复习了所学有关职业的名称,而游戏的活动形式又给这一节课开了一个好头,从一开始就调动了学生的积极性。第二个活动的设计既复习了I want to be…… 结构,又可以很好的导入新课。
Step2 New words 
Use the pictures to teache them some new words about jobs. And use some cards to teach other words. After they can master the pronunciation, use the pictures and cards to check the words.
设计说明:图片和卡片教学使得单词教学很直观,并且方便老师随学随检查学生单词的掌握情况。
Step 3 Presentasion of expressions.
Get the students to see the pictures about jobs on the TV. Point to a picture and teach them“I’m going to be a teacher, when I grow up .”Get the students guess the meaning and read after the teacher. Then get the students to read the sentence one by one. Point to the second picture and get the students to say the sentence all by themselves. Point to the third picture and ask them “What are you going to be when you grow up?” They can answer it easily. Last get them to practice the dialogue in pairs.
设计说明:利用课件由老师循序渐进的传授学生新句型,使得课堂教学更为生动和简单,同桌为一组的形式练习句型,是一种最简单也最为行之有效的练习形式,可以使学生马上把所学知识的情况反馈给老师。
Step 4 Listening (1b 1c)
Get the students to listen to the tape and match the items. Then practice the dialogue in pairs.
A: What are you going to be when you grow up?
B: I’m going to be a basketball player.
A: How are you going to do that?
B: I’m going to practice basketball everyday. 
设计说明:在检查听力答案时,我没有让学生直接说出答案而是以对话的形式给出答案。我把这一环节不仅作为听力练习,又作为新授环节,同时又是句型练习环节。
