Unit 2 How often do you exercise?
一.教学目标 :
引导学生学会用英语谈论课余时间的活动并询问做事情的频率以及能从对话中获得对方做事情的频率;能做一个关于同学们活动频率的调查表并得出一定的结论。
1. 认知目标 :
(1) 掌握询问做事情频率的重点句型:How often do you do sth.?
(2) 掌握询问周末活动的句型:What do you usually do on weekends? 能描述课余时间的活动安排 。
(3) 掌握表示频率的副词,副词短语,介词短语并且运用到对话中去。副词:always, usually, often, sometimes, never。副词短语:hardly ever。介词短语:once /twice/ three times a week/ month/year. Every+基数词+名词(复)或every +序数词+名词(单)
(4) 掌握一般现在时形式的用法 。
2. 能力目标 :
(1) 提高学生用英语交流的能力,并把所学的语言知识和生活联系起来,学会描述课余时间的安排。
(2) 学会一些基本的学习策略,培养学生的听说读写能力,提高学习的效率
(3) 培养用英语思维的能力和创新意识
(4) 学会不断发现问题,并用自己已有的知识来解决实际问题
3. 情感目标 : (1) 通过小组对话、讨论、调查等一系列的活动,培养学生的合作意识和团队精神。
(2) 通过对话,学生之间更加了解彼此,增进同学之间的感情,学会关心别人 。
(3) 谈论日常行为活动,提倡合理安排自己的生活,养成良好健康的生活习惯,享受丰富多彩的校园生活 。
二. 教学重点 :
1. 询问做事情频率:How often do you do sth.?
2. 询问周末活动的句型:What do you usually do on weekends?
3. 掌握表示日常行为活动的短语:go skateboarding, watch TV, go to the movies, shop, exercise, read 。
三.教学难点:
1. 频度副词按频率大小依次为always(100%)>usually(80%)>often(60%)>sometimes(40%)
>seldom(20%)hardly ever(5%)>never(0%) 。
2. 表示频度的介词短语表达的方法:once/twice/three/„+time(s) a week/a month/ a year.
四:教学方法:
直观教学法, 情景交际法 ,小组合作.
五:教学用具:录音机 ,教材图片 。

Step1. Greet the class .
Step2. Oral practice .
1 :T :Ask: Do you like weekends? Ss: I do.
T :Why? S1: Because I can do many things that I can do.
T : What do you do on weekends? S2 : I play volleyball on weekends.
In this way ,have the Ss give different answers. If a student say “I play volleyball every weekend.” Then tell the Ss we can also say: “I always play volleyball on weekends.” Teach other adverbs of frequency : usually ,often ,sometimes, hardly ever, never, to Ss and explain them.
2: Practice: Aask several Ss to make sentences using the adverbs of frequency according to their own opinion, then check their answers.
Step3. 1a&1b
1、Have the Ss look at the picture carefully and then tell me what the people usually do on weekends.
2、Point out the new words and guide them to write down the answers. (New words: skateboard , exercise)
3、Explain the Ss how to finish 1b , then play the tape twice and check the answers.
Step4. 1c:1、Ask two Ss to read the dialogue to the class.
2、Give the Ss another example:(Picture a) T: What does she do on weekend? S1 :She always goes shopping.
Step5.Summary: In this class,we have learned some new words:housework,hardly ,ever , ,hardly ever.
