英语完形填空教学案例教学设计

案例设计说明:

本教学案例以一篇相对较为困难的说明文体裁为例,基于运用能力培养目的进行完形填空的复习

说明文往往围绕一个问题从不同的侧面来加以说明,通常结构严谨,句子结构复杂,因此也是高考完形填空中较难理解的一种文体。

高考说明文类完形填空一般有以下两种结构特点:

1、纯说明文:文章围绕一个话题展开,通过不同的例子,从不同的侧面加以说明。有些说明文,开头便点明的话题,然后展开说明;有些说明文,先列举事实,然后在总结时点明话题。

2、说明加叙述类:文章围绕一个话题,然后通过叙述具体故事来说明话题,最后可能会对话题再加以强调。

解题思路及导引:

I. 通览全文,特别关注、寻找关键信息词,以作为解题的指示灯。

1. 把握文章的开头,注意主题句,以及段落中的信息词,力求通过首段把握文章的主题。

2. 根据每段的信息词,概括各段的大意。(说明文一般针对某一对象从不同侧面和角度加以说明,每一段往往就是其中的一个角度或侧面,因此,我们需要注意概括每一段的中心大意。)

3. 注意文章的结尾的信息词所强调中心信息。

II. 试填    每一段填的内容不能脱离本段的中心,同时需联系前后段的内容。

III. 复核   通读文章,检查思路是否顺畅及有无逻辑关系错误,同时填补遗留的空缺。

When I feel tense, it helps a lot to repeat words such as ‘calm’, ‘peace’ or ‘focus’, either out loud or silently in my mind. It makes me feel more in control and increase my confidence. This is a habit that can become second nature quite easily and is a powerful psychological tool.”

分析上下文,本段主要说的是如何集中注意力并放松。从诸多信息词,比如cant achieve concentratefocus in control等可知,concentrate的作用应该是避免distractions的出现,使我能集中注意力,使一切在掌控之中。故concentrate应与distractions对应的动词distract意义相反:things that make a person cant concentrate。因此,可以仅根据信息词一项,较容易地推理出答案。

The book Listen to My Dream, is a children’s story about Martin Luther King. It was   1   in December, 2009. The publisher is Pearl Books, LLC.

The book covers the   2   of King from childhood through his death in 1968 and is written as a narrative poem. It opens with King asking his mother why he was  3   and wasn’t treated like others. Later, his teacher 4   him to dream big dreams to help others. He set his mind to do that very thing.

As a colored man (a term for Negroes at the time), he didn’t have the   5   privileges(特权) in the south that whites had. Then when Rosa Parks  6    to give up her seat to a white person and was arrested, King organized a boycott (抵制活动)of the Montgomery bus system  7    blacks were treated the same as others.  8   in 1956 the Supreme Court ruled that such discrimination(歧视) was  9   the law.

下面谈谈本人对本课的看法。
一、教学思想符合新课程理念
从本节课教学设计、课堂教学过程来看,教师是教学活动的组织者、参与者,学生是学习的主人。教学活动以学生的学习活动为中心,让学生有更多的机会主动体验、经历探究活动,真正的将教学的重心和立足点从教师的教转移到学生的学上,将学习的主动权交给学生,使学生最大限度地参与了学习的全过程,体现了一切为了学生的发展的新课程理念,教师具有良好的课改意识。
二、教学设计、教材处理较好地突出重点、突破难点

本堂课对学生素养的提高有很大帮助,它是本节课的学习重点;

教师认真挖掘、组织课程资源,通过精心设计一系列探究活动:教学活动目的明确、重点突出,体现出教师是在用教材而不是在教教材。引发学生的思维冲突:这个反应似乎与质量守恒定律存在矛盾?学生通过猜想、思考、讨论、表达与交流;这些教学活动有助于学生较好地突破教学难点。
三、教学过程较好体现三维目标
本节课教师通过演示、分组实验,以及讨论、归纳等手段,较好地完成了本节课教学的知识目标其英语能力应用,在教学活动中,学生提高了学生技能,从始至终注意让学生体会科学探究的一般方法,特别注重在定量实验的过程中培养严谨求实的科学态度。在探究活动过程中,教师放心放手,学生自主合作,在民主的氛围中与同伴合作,认真研究探究实验的方法、步骤,认真进行实验操作, 
四、课堂教学结构条理清楚
整节课内容多,但一点都有不显得零乱,整个课堂教学有序有线、丰富多彩,使学生处始至终保持很好的注意力和兴奋度,学习效果好。
五、师生配合好,较好地完成教学目标
本节课中,教师采用的教学方法主要是引导探究和学生合作探究的教学方法,教师是课堂教学的组织者、引领者、参与者,学生是学习的主人,教师教学语言清晰亲切,处处体现对学生的爱护和鼓励,学生积极主动参与探究活动,动手操作能力和素养得到提高。如在演示实验中教师边调天平边介绍天平使用方法,师生同步动手,配合默契、感情融洽,在探究过程中多次渗透观察、比较、归纳等方面的学法指导。由于师生的良好互动和共同参与,本节课较好地完成了预订的教学目标,教学效果好。
六、三点建议
1、多媒体的使用在创设教学情景、展示微观动态过程、提高课堂效益等方面有良好作用。本节课多媒体的使用大多恰到好处,制作也独具匠心,但播放的幻灯片数量过多,可能造成学生视觉疲劳,而且会影响学生探究活动的连续性,干扰学生的思维活动。建议把表达式书写、实验现象总结等幻灯片删除。

2、学生遇到生词的问题,教师不能忽略过去,应帮助分析原因,或让这些同学表达出来,进行交流,师生共同评价,这样更有利于保护、培养学生的积极性。

3、学生实验完成后,应留下一定时间,引导学生完成,并及时了解、反馈学生实验完成情况及疑问
