Unit 12   Life is full of unexpected.

教材分析

本课时主要进行听力和口语对话练习,初步学习过去完成时的构成和用法。在1a部分以连环画的形式呈现出一个关于意外的故事,激发学生的好奇心。然后教师带领学生进行听力练习,了解故事的原委,并就故事展开话题讨论。结合听力材料的故事学习本单元的语法要点过去进行时,并对语法再次进行巩固听说练习。

学情分析

在八年级的下学期学生已经学过了现在完成时的用法,本单元的重点语法过去完成时与现在完成时有较强的关联性。教师在讲解语法的时候可进行对比归纳,使学生能够准确地区分一般过去时、现在完成时、过去完成时,并能在实践中选用正确的时态来进行表达。

教学目标

知识与技能1.学习词汇backpack, oversleep, give…a lift

            2.学习过去完成时的用法。

过程与方法1.教师首先与学生进行师生活动,引出单元教学话题,营造良好的课堂气氛。

            2.学习本课时单词,进行与话题相关的听说练习,学习过去完成时的用法。

情感态度与价值观:1.提高学生在实际生活中处理意外事件的能力,培养学生面对问题时积极正面的心态。

2.通过丰富的课堂活动增进学生之间的交流和沟通,提高学生的团队协作能力。

教学重难点及解决措施

1.      掌握重点词汇backpackoversleep, give…a lift

2.      重点句型When I got to school,I realized that I had left my backpack at home.

            By the time I got back to school , the bell had rung.

3.教学难点能够在实践中灵活的运用本单元的单词、短语和句型。

教学过程

一、情境导入(Warming up

1.教师向学生分享发生在自己身上的意外事件的故事,比如某天专程去很远的某家餐厅吃饭,到了才发现自己忘记带钱包,或者某天出门忘记带钥匙等等。在讲故事的过程中,注意激发学生的兴趣,使学生将注意力放到课堂中来。

2.教师引导学生看1a部分的图片,请学生来猜一猜图片中的女孩经历了哪些意外的事情。教师请学生说一说自己的猜想。

二、新课呈现(presentation

1T: What do you think of Mary in these pictures?

S: She looks bad.

T: Have you ever been late for school?

S: Yes, I have. I was late for school today. When I got up, I found my clock had rung. It was 7:30. by the time I went to the bathroom, my son had been in. So I had to wait. When I went out, I found my motorbike had broken down.         

2 Presentation  

1) 教学By the time I got outside, the bus had already left. When I got to school, I realized I had left my backpack at home.

.T: Now Lets know something about Marys bad day. Please look at the pictures, and tell me something about the pictures.

When she got to school, the bell had rung.

By the time she walked into the class, her teacher had started teaching.

When she got home, she found she had left her keys in the backpack.

When she ran to school, she realized she had left her backpack at home.

2) 教学  结对练习句型

让学生根据1a的图片造句。注意强调过去完成时的结构和用法:

had + p.p.

3) 教学  操练1a, 1c, 2c

让学生根据1a,2a图片内容讲述一个完整的故事,引出get outside, get to school, by the time, start doing, be late for,并用刚刚学到的目标句型来操练。抽查几对学生,让他们在全班面前,按要求进行描述。

4) 教学

帮助学生明确本题的要求。

1bad day为题,描述Mary这一天的经历。
