Teaching Procedures:

Step 1. Leading-in

1. Everyday English .

2. Present some pictures of beautiful places to arouse their interest of travelling.

Step 2. Presentation

1. Pairs work

Get Ss to ask each other the questions, and then ask them to present it before the class.

  (1) Which means of transportation (bike, bus, ship, plane, etc) have you tried? 

(2) Which do you like best? Why?

(3) What do you have to consider before you decide which means of transportation you will use?

2.Think about the advantages and disadvantages of each form of transport and fill in the chart.(5s)

3.Summarize :according to the chart ,ask 4-5Ss to give a Free speech.

Get Ss to talk about a 7-day holiday.

You are going to have a 7-day national holiday. Please work in a group of four to make a plan for the7-day travel. Your plan will include answers to the following questions.

Q1 Where are you going? Why?

Q2 Whom are you going with?

Q3 What are the fares for your travel?

Q4 What means of transportation will you employ?

Q5 When are you leaving and when are you coming back?

Step 4 Writing

Let Ss do a writing practice .write a short passage to introduce one of their trips.

They can refer to the following steps .

1. Use correct tenses and sentence structures.

2. Pay attention to punctuations.

3. Creative writing is encouraged.

4. Try to use as many as possible the words and phrases we have recently learned.

5. Words limit: about 60 words
